Raised in southern New Hampshire, violinist Caterina Yetto returned home to the Souhegan Valley after college and graduate school to spread her love of music with her home towns. Although she traveled for her schooling, she could never quite get the Souhegan Valley out of her heart.
In 2015, Caterina graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music with her Bachelor of Music where she had the privilege of studying with Gregory Fulkerson. Two years later she earned her Master of Music from the University of Delaware.
As a teacher, Caterina shares her love of music with her students. Her students find her joy infectious and look forward to their weekly lessons. Warm and kind in her approach, Caterina is always looking for what the student did well, however, she also isn't afraid to point out what needs to be worked on and then work with the student to help them improve. She believes in teaching her students to problem solve so that they learn how to practice, not just how to play.
Caterina is also a performer as a violinist with the Vista Philharmonic Orchestra in Groton, Massachusetts since 2017, as well as for weddings and funerals. She strongly believes that to be a good teacher, she needs to keep her own playing in shape.
In her free time, Caterina likes to spend time with her family and friends, and especially her dog, Chloe.
